Introduction: Gajdos Péter

I learned to meditate when I was 17 because of sports. I was an orienteer, I could run really well, but staying focused during a long race wasn't my forte. At the TM lecture, which I still don't really know why I went to, they said that many successful athletes use this technique to be able to concentrate when they need to. That's when I decided that this is what I wanted. I got what I wanted, but I got much more from this simple practice.

2 years later, I studied at Maharishi International University (MIU) in the USA, where everyone meditates and they teach with a unique consciousness-based teaching method. It is a university environment that is hard to imagine, only to experience. I am very lucky to have been able to study there. After a while, the desire to teach TM grew stronger, and in 1995 I completed the 9-month teacher training course in Italy and came home to teach. I built and operated a TM center in Pécs, my hometown, for years. Soon, my wife Enikő joined this work. Teaching TM has always been my passion, there were times when I did it full-time, sometimes just as a hobby, but it was always a very important part of my life. The knowledge I gained at Maharishi International University gave me a very solid foundation for my in-depth knowledge of how TM works and other Vedic sciences. It means a lot to me that I have been able to help many people in Hungary and abroad with my knowledge to live better, healthier, more stress-free lives. Among them are Olympians, European champion athletes, university professors, celebrities and ordinary people. TM makes everyone's life better if they practice it regularly.

In 2020, I was asked to serve as the director of the Hungarian TM organization, and I have been doing this as a charitable work ever since. Since 2022, Enikö and I have become TM-Szidhi administrators, and since then I have been teaching TM as well as its advanced techniques with great enthusiasm and dedication.

I also encountered TM when I was still in high school (the boy standing next to me in the picture above told me about it), it helped me a lot in my studies and in my personality development. The first thing I noticed was that I learned much faster, I could concentrate better (and I got the best grades in my high school exams). I had more time, I started to be interested in more things, and as a result, the world opened up to me more, I was happier.

I graduated from PTE with a degree in environmental engineering, then I volunteered for a while at one of the universities of the international TM movement in the Netherlands. I also completed the TM teacher training there in 1997. Maharishi was living there at the time, so I was able to meet him at the end of the course, which was a great experience.

Péter and I have been teaching together ever since, working here and there, and starting a family. I also completed a second-degree program in economics, and we started our own business, which I have been working in since then, in addition to teaching TM.

In 2022, we were honored to be invited to the advanced TM technique, the TM-Sidhi program, teacher training course in Thailand, and we can be one of the few teachers in the world who can teach it. It is fantastic that Hungarian meditators can complete the training in their native language, and that we can be a part of this, but we also really enjoy foreign courses, most recently in India we participated in the Siddhi course for 600 people organized as part of a huge 10,000-person world peace meeting, it was an experience of a lifetime.

I can thank TM for always being able to do what I want, enjoying the "support of nature", as Maharishi calls the phenomenon that everything around us supports the fulfillment of our desires, and it gives me great joy to be able to pass on this effective and simple technique to others and see how their lives change and become happier through it.

Introduction:

I am Tamás Rumán, a Transcendental Meditation (TM) teacher – this is the profession to which I have committed myself wholeheartedly and full-time. I believe and experience every day that creating inner silence and stability is the key to true growth, not only on a personal, but also on a professional and organizational level.

I have been practicing Transcendental Meditation for over 13 years, and more and more people are turning to me with the intention of learning this natural, scientifically supported technique — whether to restore balance in their individual lives or to deepen their leadership function.

My teaching is always centered on personal experience and simplicity. TM is a tool that can effortlessly yet profoundly activate one's inner resources - whether it's personal life or challenges at work.

During my career, I have worked in England, Switzerland and Austria, which has given me the opportunity to experience different cultures, working methods and ways of thinking. I also incorporate these experiences into the approach I use to support individuals, leaders and teams. Although I have also gained experience as a human resources consultant, trainer and coach, the teaching of TM forms the basis of all my development processes. It is this awareness that arises from inner silence that brings about real, sustainable change — both on an individual and organizational level.

I welcome those who are open to experiencing growth through deeper self-discovery and developing a more balanced, fulfilling life – from the inside out.
